NUMBERS
Again we have experianced a major drop since last time. Our numbers have falled from 265 to 264. But again strangly, we have had an increase in forum activity.

INTERNAL AFFAIRS
The elections are over now. With all candidates becoming senate members. Although a re-election has been called due to Tamurin declaining his postion as senator.

The Europan times has ceased again.

FOREIGN AFFAIRS
As usual, very quiet.

ROLE-PLAY
The map if fully up and running now, with every nation now added.

Tag and I have began an espianage thread. About a tank which both of our nations are developing together going missing.

The Dacvi conflict is in the middle of a cease fire, with a DMZ put in place.

A Europan Stock Exchange has been set up by myself, which is based on the real stock exchange, and is doing well, although due an update.

And conflict between Haken Rider and Ide Jima has began as both nations fight for controle over a small island known as Tinian.

Had a bit of a decline since last week. Down to 265. Hopfuly it will start heading back up, however forum activity has increases slightly.

Internal Affairs
Elections for the senate has began. Currently standing candidates are Pirilao,
Ide Jima, Tamurin, Adaptus, Rekamgil.

The Europan Times has began again, and is looking fairly good.

Foreign Affairs
Tag is having a suffle with the ambassadors. With new people taking roles in FAN, Canada and EuroIslanders.

But again, it's pritty quiet.

RolePlay
The Dacvi Conflict has now came to a close with a DMZ having been put in place, with Rekamgil and SPA troops patroling it.

After an emergancy election in Adaptus, the Socialist Workers Party has taken over from Ramsey's Facist Ragime, which nealry turned the country into a dictatorship. Now Julia Coleman is in charge.

The map is well underway, with disscusions about islands starting, and people have began requesting there next plot expandings.

Tag's Eclipse of an Empire RP has been quite, only because he has fallen short of ideas.

1. General:

RIOTING IN ADAPTON - PEOPLE'S FEDERATION NO MORE?
Amidst the rioting and the injuries of the Prime Minister of Adapton, Ramsey has declared apparent martial law in an attempt to save his people from themselves. He has suffered the loss of his wife and children. During a statement made earlier today, he declared that a 'Fascist State' was now in effect, ran totally by himself. He further stated that his own people had brought this upon themselves.

Here is a excerpt of the Prime Minister's statement:

"Today, due to my populace rioting against me, my wife and daughter were killed. Now with such a large mob at hand, I feel it useless asking the police to find out who killed them, as they will not be able to do that, so I have one last option, which is this. From now on, the people's Party of Adaptus is no more, neither are any other party for that matter. Legislation is passing through parliament as we speak. From today, the party system in Adaptus is abolished; we are now a totalitarian state, my totalitarian state. A fascist dictatorship you could say. As of now there will be no more civil rights, no more human rights, no more unions, and no more popular opinion. As of today, I am the sole leader of Adaptus. You have brought this on yourselves."

TRAVEL BANS AND TRADE EMBARGOS PLACED ON US
Several Trade and Travel bans have been enacted on The U.S. over its contraversial Nuclear Arms Program. Nations such as Akiiryu and The Greater Holy empire of Tagmatium have voiced a serious concern not only of the program, but of the U.S. itself.

The terms of the GHET embargo are:

It is now also a criminal offence under Tagmatine law to trade with Upper Strathclyde, or any of its citizens. Any Tagmatine citizen found guilty of this crime will face a minimum fine of HS300 and a maximum prison sentence of 5 years.

It is also illegal for any Tagmatine-owned or based business to trade with Upper Strathclyde or any of its citizens. If found guilty, it faces a minimum fine of HS10,000. The owner(s) also face a minimum fine of HS3000 and a maximum prison fine of 5 years.

The Akiiryan Terms are:

Is now also a criminal offence under to trade with Upper Strathclyde, or any of its citizens. Any Akiiryan citizen found guilty of this crime will face a minimum fine of Ler10000 and a maximum prison sentence of 10 years. It is also illegal for any Akiiryan-owned or based business to trade with Upper Strathclyde or any of its citizens. If found guilty, it faces a minimum fine of Ler100,000. The owner(s) also face a minimum fine of Ler20,000 and a maximum prison fine of 10 years.

All Upper Strathclydian owned property in Akiiryu is to be seized and held until such time the The prince and Baronic Council believe that Upper Strathclyde is no longer a threat to the peace and stability of Europa.

Any vessel owned by an Upper Strathclyde citizen or registered in that nation that enters into Akiiryan waters will be seized, no matter what the circumstances.

Akiiryan owned or registered vessels are also now prohibited from entering Upper Strathclyde waters or ports. Any vessels that do so, except in extreme circumstances, will be subjected to fines and imprisonment.

MAYHEM IN BLUEPORT CITY - PRIME MINISTER OKAY
Amidst the turmoil of a Hostage crisis in Blueport city, officials have stated the The Prime Minister, who was stabbed by the Transportation minister, has made a recovery and is expected to be okay. The Prime Minister was rescued by the Nation's SWAT ( Special Weapons and Tactics ) Team.

2. Military Role Play

SUVERINAN CONFLICT NEARS END - EVA I TAKES THRONE
After fierce fighting, and a tragic attack on Civilians from Upper Strathyclyde Forces, a De-Militerised Zone is about to be established in the are around Ide Jiman held Edinet. The DMZ will start 25 km west of the city of Edinet, and will be 75km deep. The area will be Patrolled by Rekamgil, Suverina and Akiiryu Forces.


Suggested Borders for the New DMZ.

While on the home front in Suverina, Prince Michail II was assasinated in a brutal attack against the Former Principality, now Queendom Government of Suverina. Chosen to succeed The Prince is Queen Eva I. Dedicated to her people, she will no doubt restore peace to her people.

REGIONAL NEWS

SENATE ELECTIONS

Upcoming Elections for the European Senate. The Senate is the governing council of Europa. It is a group which includes theoretically the best citizens. Senators have a high degree of political, legislative, and administrative power. The current Senate consists of:
- Adaptus
- Akiiryu
- Ide Jima
- Pirilao
- Tamurin

Registering at the forum and actively participating is required if you want to take part in the regional government. Senators elected from general membership of Europa. To be eligible for a Senate position, a nation must have resided in Europa for at least 2 months, as well as having a UN nation in Europa (exception if part of the Army) as well as being an active member of the forum. Senators are in office for 3 months, after which new elections are held.

Here is current the timetable for the elections:
- 01 to 09 April: Announcement
- 10 to 17 April: Nominations
- 18 to 25 April: Elections

Thats right folks, now's your chance to get active and get involved with how your government works! Get out there and get to know your candidates! Among those running this time around are:

NON-AGGRESSION PACT WITH GB&I
The region of Europa and Great Britain & Ireland have signed a Non Aggression Pact. A Copy of the Document is Attached Below:

Non-Aggression Pact Between Great Britain and Ireland and Europa

1) Signing this treaty formalises that the regions Great Britain and Ireland and Europa will not engage in any military action against the other regions military forces.

2) Great Britain and Ireland or Europa will also not assist or support military actions performed by an outside region against the other regions forces.

3) In case of any future conflict of interest, it is deemed that alliances overrule Non-Aggression Pacts, should any of the signatory regions be forced to choose.

It has passed GB*I's house of Commons and is on its way to thier House of Lords now.

We were fine after the 0 of 0 thing, but several days later we had a die-of of about 17 nations. D'oh!

Numbers
After a peak of about 281, we’ve sunk back down to 267. This is because no-one else actually bothers with it, other than myself and Pirilao. I may get criticsm for that, but it’s true. I suspect that there is someone in most regions who knows what I mean

Internal Affairs
From tomorrow, to the 18th of April, runs the Senate nominations for the third democratically elected Europan Senate.

Out of the old Senate, which consisted of Adaptus, Akiiryu, Ide Jima, Pirilao and Tamurin. Of these, only Akiiryu is not standing a second time. We await to see if there are anymore possible Senators to come forward. Although they do have another nine days.

Foreign Affairs
We’ve opened a Consulate for Jethnea in Europa, and they have opened one for us over their way. Pirilao is our ambassador to them.

Other than that, ‘tis been a quiet week. Arrrr!

Roleplay
Map places coming along nicely. It’ll be completed before long.

Voting for the maximum number of plots also has been closed, and it stands at 4.

Suverina’s Dacvi Conflict is rolling along, as is my Eclipse of an Empire, although I think I’ve run out of ideas for this one.

Numbers Well, due to the latest 0 of 0 crisis, we officially don’t have any nations. D’oh! But, last time we did, we had 281 nations. Which is nearly our all-time high, I think. Yay for us! Internal Affairs We’re gearing up for our second round of elections this year. This will mean that it’s the third time a democratic election has taken place in Europa. The 1st of April marks a nine-day period of reminders for the up-coming elections. The 10th marks the beginning of elections, when candidates put themselves forward for the position of Senator. After eight days, the real elections begin. But of course, this is still a long way off. I, Tagmatium, have also been promoted to Admin-in-Training. Soon my reign of terror shall begin, and Europa will tremble before me. Mua-hahahahaha… Oh, you should probably ignore that… Foreign Affairs I, as Minister for Foreign Affairs, have been trying to get more people away from the roleplay boards and into the realms of Foreign Affairs. With little success. I’ve also asked some one to make a more regular regional update, also with little success. We have also been considering opening up relations with the region of Jethnea, where one of our older members, amongst others, now resides. Roleplay I’ve been usurped from my position as an RP Moderator, in favour of Akiiryu. Who will hopefully do a good job. Map discussions continue, but we are now nearing the end of the long and winding road that has been the Map Discussion! Suverina, a new member, has devolved into civil war as some northern provinces rebel in the Dacvi Conflict, which is attracting the interest of all the major powers in Europa. I’ve also started an RP explaining why Tagmatium stopped being a major Europan power until the 2000’s, in the Eclipse of an Empire. I think the title is nice and poetic.
