Again, another busy week, especially in our Role Play section, has meant I haven't been able to make an earlier update for the viewing of those esteemed regions that have me as the representative from the region of Europa. This, combined with a visit to the University of Reading, which as a damned good place, if I may say so, has led to the lack of an update for the past fortnight. Numbers We have fallen below the 280 mark, and are now at 270-odd. This isn't so bad, as it's something to be expected with newer nations having a lack of interest in the game, and older ones being swamped in Real Life. We have had the return of an older member, Kant, which is always good. Internal Affairs Europa’s also completed the final part of its government reform. The candidates for the various ministerial positions have been voted in by the Senate, and they now stand as thus: Paranoid Schizo as Minister for Internal Affairs, Vanarambaion as Minister for Security and myself as Minister for Foreign Affairs. We have also had a visit from an older, but very unwelcome, member. See it here. Foreign Affairs For a Foreign Affairs minister, I’m actually fairly bad, as I can’t remember what the hell we’ve done in the past few weeks. It’s probably just sorting out the last few ambassador positions and the like. Could I also push for an update from this region Roleplay Ok. So this is the section which has demanded the most of my attention, both as a player and as a Moderator, for the past two weeks or so. Mainly Europa is concerned with the fate of a small Europan kingdom/empire of Hidaya Miliki. It’s a very long story, but I’ll attempt to sum it up thusly: Xheng reported genocide in the nation and proposed intervention, whilst Akiiryu and Tagmatium opposed any intervention, for two different reason (Tagmatium’s one was entirely selfish, and concerned with people not finding out about weapons trading). When Xheng invaded, Tagmatium declared war, quickly followed by the majority of the Alliance. This then blossomed into war. View the IC thread here and the OOC thread there. Other happenings have been in our region’s new Newsroom. I’m particularly pleased with my own thread. © Europa, 2006 | Written by Tagmatium
